  • Tina Barham - Executive Director

    Tina is one of the founding members of Covered Waters and is serving as the Executive Director. Tina has spent her adult life working and serving in various non-profits. She did her undergrad studies in Recreation Administration and non-profit management and masters in Biblical Studies/Cross-Cultural Ministries. She has served as the Director of Recruitment at Avant Ministries, an international missionary in Mexico for 10 years, and will be able to use her knowledge in Spanish to help those who need it!

    When not working she enjoys spending time with her pitbull baby, being creative, taking care of her (too many) house plants, and serving at church. Tina has a heart for making sure those who have faced injustice have the opportunity to heal and have an exceptional future.

  • Katie Roth - Program Director

    Katie is one of the founding members of Covered Waters and is the Program Director. Katie completed undergraduate courses at the University of Nebraska - Lincoln. After studying in Lincoln, she worked as a case manager and operations manager for Rejuvenating Women. She currently runs her own floral & photography business while staying home with her sweet baby.Katie has a genuine love for humans that is truly special. Every person that has an interaction with her, leaves feeling seen and heard.

    When she's not here you can most likely find her spending time with her family, creating floral arrangements, or gardening. Katie has a heart for caring for others and is excited to welcome all newcomers to the Covered Waters family, with open arms of genuine love and acceptance.

  • Bailey Sturgeon - Director of Advocacy & Community Engagement

    Bailey is one of the founding members of Covered Waters and is serving as Director of advocacy and community engagement. She graduated from the University of Nebraska - Lincoln with a bachelors in Art Education K-12. She then moved to western Nebraska for a teaching job, but later moved back to Fremont where she started her own photography business and has been doing that full time for 6 years; while also becoming a foster/adoptive parent along with her husband.

    When she’s not working you can most likely find her under a pile of kids at home, taking photos or tending to her many, many (too many) house plants. Bailey loves to cheer people on as they work hard to make lasting changes. She loves to mentor, support and walk alongside people in this journey.
